Adventurer Charlie had so much fun exploring our location on this shoot. Splashing in the water, playing with Mitchy the family dog on the sand, and having tickles with mum and dad on the grass - everything was covered. And throughout the whole shoot this wonderful family just laughed. Especially Hollie, the gorgeous mum. Have you ever seen a more natural, beautiful smile?
This beautiful mum is especially dear to my heart. She was a tower of strength and support to me in the early days after my son was born. As you can see, she has her own beautiful boy Sammy who is the same age as my Jack and yet she selflessly and effortlessly helped me through a difficult time.
She is a gentle, generous, wonderful lady who lives everyday in pure joy, with a positive outlook and loads of laughter. As you will see from the images below, the two men in her life are also pretty special and heaps of fun. They just laughed, loved and let loose the whole way through the shoot!
Now this little guy is one of a kind. Keen to meet mummy and daddy, Hunter decided he would surprise his parents by arriving at just 27 weeks!!
I met this beautiful family during our stay in NICU while we were there with our son who we also decided to make an early arrival. In a humidicrib, covered in tubes, attached to beeping machines and smaller than you can possibly imagine, this little guy was a fighter even then.
Fast forward 16 months and Hunter has gone from strength to strength, bursting through every challenge with that cheeky grin and a courage you would expect from a grown man. He is a very special and beautiful boy with an amazing spirit and inquisitive nature. And just quietly...his mum and dad are pretty extraordinary people too.
I love the funky, bohemian style of this place in west hobart. An eye for unique, handmade furnishings, simple design, and clever interior styling all work to make this place a fun, welcoming apartment just minutes from town. The owners have several properties around town, decorated in a similar fashion. I'm just itching to photograph them as well!
